The King's Stone at The Rollrights in Oxfordshire is one of my favourite standing stones. The whole Rollright complex is an amazing place but there is something about this stone, stood in a field away from the others and constrained behind bars that caught my imagination. Are we being kept out or is the stone being kept in?
This print took inspiration from Gerturde Hermes' 1959 linocut of Stonehenge.
